They have 3 'trap' courses with various ways to test your skills, from flying clay discs (pigeons) to rolling ones (rats), to hopping ones (rabbits). He welcomed us like old friends instead of 'one time' visitors. Larry the owner was super nice and made sure we had a good time. It was an enjoyable day and we talked about setting up another day in the near future. He made sure I was able to do it several times before we finished. Sure enough he said the shotguns we were using were not the correct size for me and took one and adjusted it so that it would work for me and then he spent time with me helping me be able to shoot something and not just a 'token' one hit and 'Yea, you hit it', we're done. They went so far as to have the gunsmith come out and check things out to find out why I was having problems.

Having never attempted anything like this before, I was terrible at it, but they were not satisfied to say 'Oh well, tough luck.' They wanted to make sure I hit something and had a good time. The staff was very accommodating, extremely friendly and supportive.

We went to the Camanche Hills Hunting Preserve to try our hand at 'clay trap' shooting, something we had never done before.
